Arnold School of Public Health
The Arnold School of Public Health offers the Master of Health Administration, Professional Format.  It is the premier degree for professionals in the health care management field. Individuals who would like to work in organizational settings such as hospitals, group home health and other healthcare organizations, health insurance, healthcare quality and other health organizations will find the MHA program well suited to meet their professional needs.
Admissions Requirements

For admission to The Graduate School, a baccalaureate or higher degree from a college or university accredited by a regional accrediting agency is normally required.  Applicants should submit a complete application packet including official transcripts of college academic record, two letters of recommendation, and official scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT), or the Dental Admission Test (DAT). The Graduate Bulletin and Admission Application are available on-line.

In addition to the above, international students who have not received a degree from an English speaking institution should submit official TOEFL score.  A personal interview is required of applicants as well as a written career statement.

Degree Requirements

The MHA program requires completion of 58 credit hours, 52 hours of instructional course work and 6 hours of the residency project. The residency project is a special practical project that may be completed at an organization of your choice and could be the agency in which you are employed. The minimum time period to complete the program is 21 months of full time study. On a part time basis, the degree typically requires 3 years to complete. There is a 1 day on campus meeting per course per semester and a 1 ½ day orientation on the Columbia campus for new students.
